Job Description

What You'll Do:

We’re looking for an Internal Wholesaler - NQ to join our distribution team. In this role, you’ll partner with an external wholesaler (Regional Vice President) to generate and manage pipeline, close sales, and develop mutually profitable advisor relationships.

 

Here are few examples of the kinds of things you’ll do:

  • Coordinate and follow through on Plan and Asset Implementation in partnership with NQ Operations and New Business teams
  • Lead and/or participate in sales presentations to prospective advisors via virtually or by phone
  • Design and implement marketing and sales initiatives/campaigns via virtual presentations, phone engagement, and email
  • Grow sales in an assigned segment of brokers/advisors by virtual presentations and/or phone engagement
  • Support in daily sales initiatives and territory management. Direct preparation of proposals and other sales materials
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on nonqualified plans, providing sales support, education, and consultative guidance to financial professionals and clients.
  • Assist in evaluating client opportunities while developing nonqualified plan designs and funding strategies aligned with business objectives and executive benefit goals.
  • Leverage Salesforce and other sales enablement tools to manage pipeline activity, identify opportunities, prioritize advisor engagement, and support territory growth.

Who You Are:
  • Requires college degree or eight years of equivalent experience, and 4+ years related experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving, organizational and relationship building skills required
  • Must be creative, able to operate independently, results driven and possess the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Some travel required

Licenses and/or exams necessary for this position include:

  • Life and Variable Life insurance license in state of residence within 60 days of hire
  • FINRA Series 6 and 63 exams are also required within 120 days of hire
  • Maintaining all applicable licenses is required for continued employment in this position. Cannot participate in any solicitation until properly licensed
Salary Range Information: Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range: $47700 - $85200 / year Salary Details:

The following locations are examples of market-specific salary ranges across different geographies. 

  • Wichita, KS: $47,700 - $63,900 / year
  • Des Moines, IA: $50,350 - $67,450 / year
  • Charlotte, NC: $53,000 - $71,000 / year
  • Chicago/Minneapolis: $58,300 - $78,100 / year
  • Los Angeles/New York City: $63,600 - $85,200 / year
Time Off Program: Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided. Pension Eligible: Yes Additional Information:

Work Environments

This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, Charlotte, NC, and Raleigh, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
