Job Description:
This job involves handling, sorting, and delivering heavy industrial goods. The helper plays a crucial role in loading/unloading shipments, assisting truck drivers, and keeping the warehouse organized. This physically demanding role ensures wholesale operations run smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities
Material Handling & Warehouse Support
- Load & Unload: Safely load and unload industrial products (e.g., machinery, raw materials, wholesale goods) from trucks, tempos, and shipping containers.
- Sorting & Stacking: Organize and stack inventory neatly on shelves or pallets.
- Order Preparation: Assist with pulling, packing, and labeling products for daily wholesale orders.
Auto & Transportation Assistance
- Ride Along: Accompany the driver in delivery vehicles to assist with local deliveries.
- Route Help: Guide the driver through local areas (e.g., Amanaka, Urla, Siltara in Raipur), especially in tight spaces or heavy traffic.
- Product Safety: Secure loads on the vehicle to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Delivery Documentation: Help hand over goods to clients and occasionally collect signatures or payments.
- Cleanliness: Sweep, mop, and remove debris from the warehouse and auto loading zones.
- Equipment Care: Assist in maintaining tools and delivery vehicles.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform heavy manual labor, stand for long hours, and lift heavy objects.
- Education: Basic literacy or a 10th-grade pass is generally preferred, though not strictly required.
- Dependability: Punctual, hardworking, and capable of following oral instructions.
- Safety Adherence: Strictly follow safety rules, wear required PPE (e.g., safety shoes, gloves), and prevent workplace hazards.
