YOUR ROLE:
VP, External Wholesaler – Institutional Channel
This role is a supercharged pace of reaching out to prospective financial professionals to attract them to work with FIG, a leader independent financial services distribution
Wholesale annuity products from leading carriers including Corebridge, Mass Mutual Ascend and North American, plus a deep bench of other carriers to independent advisors. Manage a geographic territory based on available firms and coordinate and help lead and develop an internal wholesaler. Manage to assigned T&E budget. Adhere to all firm and compliance policies. Represent FIG in professional fashion.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Lead a start up territory calling on independent financial advisors in approved FIG firms to $120M run rate within 12 months. Run rate target $5M / month by end of Q1 and $8M / month end of Q2. Long term expectation $200-$250M+ in annual annuity volume
- Drive 30+ appointments per week with financial advisors in territory on a weekly basis. Target an average of 8-10 live appointments per week with the balance being documented virtual appointments
- Focus on B/D firms where FIG has forged formalized relationships with home offices
- Build relationships specifically with LPL advisors and drive sales of products from The Standard
- Ability to learn and comprehend concepts and products quickly
- Live role play with leadership to understand prospect pitches
- Accountable to weekly and regular fast-paced metrics
- Work with internal Ops, licensing, and other teams to assure best client experience when transacting business with FIG
- Adhere to firmwide CRM and administrative standards
- Collaboration with Barnabas Capital for RILA referrals and RIA Insurance Solutions for fee-based referrals
WHY YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON:
- Undergraduate degree in: Business (Finance, Accounting, Marketing, etc.) - Preferred
- Proven success within a sales environment – Minimum three years of financial services wholesaling experience preferred
- Proven relationships with advisors and firms in identified wholesaling territory. Ability to translate into fast sales
- Perseverance, strong positive attitude, and repetition are all key strengths needed for optimal success in this role
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Live in territory - willingness to travel based on territory / relationship needs
- Finra securities and life insurance licenses required
