This role sits at the intersection of retirement solutions, advisor engagement, and institutional distribution strategy, focused on expanding adoption of in-plan annuity products within employer markets. You will act as a trusted wholesaler and strategic partner to ERISA-focused financial advisors across a defined territory in the Southern U.S. The position blends relationship management, consultative selling, and retirement income expertise to drive meaningful sales outcomes. It offers the opportunity to influence retirement outcomes at scale while working with innovative income solutions.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will be responsible for building and expanding relationships with ERISA advisory financial professionals to drive sales of in-plan annuity solutions within your assigned territory. You will develop and execute territory strategies, manage advisor segmentation, and ensure consistent engagement across key distribution partners while delivering value-added education and insights.

  • Develop, maintain, and grow relationships with ERISA advisors and strategic partners through in-person, phone, and video wholesaling.
  • Drive adoption of retirement income solutions, including delivering educational sessions, retirement strategy discussions, and product positioning support.
  • Execute territory planning, segmentation, and activity management to maximize coverage and sales effectiveness.
  • Partner with internal teams such as retirement consultants, sales supervision, and enablement to support distribution goals.
  • Leverage data and insights to identify opportunities, track performance, and refine engagement strategies.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and retirement income strategies to strengthen advisor conversations.

Requirements

This role requires strong experience in ERISA advisory, defined contribution retirement markets, and investment-only distribution, along with a proven track record of sales success. You should bring a consultative mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to influence sophisticated financial advisors in a competitive environment.

  • 4–5+ years of experience in ERISA Advisory / Defined Contribution Investment Only (DCIO) sales or wholesaling.
  • Proven success in sales performance within retirement, investment, or insurance distribution channels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • FINRA Series 6 & 63 and Life Insurance licenses required.
  • Strong presentation, storytelling, and public speaking skills in both virtual and in-person settings.
  • Ability to manage a large territory with up to 50% travel, including occasional evenings and events.
  • Strong relationship-building, time management, and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Comfortable using digital tools, data sources, and emerging technologies (including AI-enabled tools).

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary ($100,000–$125,000) plus variable compensation tied to sales performance.
  • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision plans.
  • 401(k) plan with strong company match and retirement savings support.
  • Flexible spending accounts (FSA) and health savings accounts (HSA).
  • Generous paid time off and additional leave benefits.
  • Tuition reimbursement and student loan retirement support programs.
  • Life insurance and additional financial protection benefits.
  • Access to wellness facilities and employee-focused campus amenities (where applicable).
  • Inclusive workplace culture supported by employee resource groups and career development opportunities.
