Role Overview:
The Annuity Product Wholesaler is responsible for growing our annuity sales nationally; recruiting new insurance agencies/agents to JSA, working with existing agent partners to develop their annuity business and increase their sales, maintaining and establishing new relationships within our industry.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first line of contact for Insurance agency principals, their downline, and independent JSA agents
- Recruit new Insurance agencies/agents to JSA to sell our portfolio.
- Assist agencies/agents with appointment and onboarding process with carriers we represent.
- Provide novice and advanced levels of training on our insurance plans and tools in the following areas:
- Marketing Strategies
- Cross selling ideas/tools
- Prospecting - Lead Generating/Social Media
- Sales Process/Sales Tools
- Quoting/Underwriting
- AML/Compliance
- Community marketing
- Ensure that existing JSA agent partners are appointed and certified to sell in the territory
- Manage CO-OP arrangements and assessing the sales activities – with help from management
- Provide exceptional support to all producers
- Conduct meetings/trainings with agents to drive new sales.
- Proactively resolve contract, commission, enrollment, and general service issues that arise.
- Represent JSA at industry events.
- Travel required; up to 30% of time.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:
- At least 5 years of sales experience in the financial or life insurance industry; required.
- Proven experience in annuity sales; required
- Proven experience in sales leadership, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the industry and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Must possess professional presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred
- Knowledge of Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Medicare Part D and other Senior Market focused insurance products; preferred.
- Experience in Broker or Provider service, managing key accounts; preferred.
- Insurance license; required.
Physical Job Requirements & Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position for up to eight hours in an office environment. The employee occasionally is required to move to access people or workspaces. Involves frequent telephone contact with agents and employees. Interaction with others is constant and may be interruptive or involve dealing with angry or upset people.
The employee may occasionally lift files, paper, or office equipment weighing up to 35 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, calculator, telephone, copier, and other such office equipment as necessary. Vision must be correctable to 20/30 and hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts. It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for long periods and the ability to optimally communicate is required.
