Hybrid Sales Executive - Hybrid Wholesaler

Job Description

The Hybrid Sales Executive develops and deepens relationships with advisors and other financial intermediaries to drive sales and retention of Vanguard investment products. This role supports medium to high value clients through a balanced mix of virtual engagement (approximately 75%) and in person field activity (approximately 25%).

The role is responsible for client coverage within Ontario and partners closely with a Business Development Associate to deliver comprehensive client support. The Hybrid Sales Executive represents Vanguard mutual funds and ETFs to advisors and financial planning firms within the MFDA and IIROC channels, acting as a trusted resource and relationship manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieves established sales, asset growth, and retention goals while operating in alignment with Vanguard’s Code of Ethics. Implements a strategic territory and sales plan to identify, develop, and grow high‑quality intermediary relationships.
  • Drives sales results by increasing awareness of Vanguard’s investment products, solutions, and services. Executes targeted prospecting activities including outbound outreach, virtual engagement, in‑person meetings, client seminars, and participation in national and regional industry events.
  • Builds, maintains, and expands intermediary relationships through a combination of electronic, virtual, and in‑person communication. Develops a strong understanding of each intermediary’s business model, investment philosophy, and client base.
  • Acts as a trusted consultant by aligning client needs with appropriate Vanguard products and solutions. Educates intermediaries on Vanguard’s offerings, value proposition, and long‑term investment philosophy.
  • Develops and demonstrates a strong understanding of capital markets, the investment management industry, and evolving market trends. Leverages this expertise to position Vanguard as a credible and trusted partner.
  • Hosts and presents at client meetings, educational events, and seminars to strengthen relationships, build product credibility, and generate actionable sales opportunities.
  • Utilizes virtual technology to deliver a personalized client experience and effectively engage intermediaries across geographically diverse territories.
  • Partners with field sales teams and key account sales executives to support broader distribution and client coverage efforts.
  • Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Five or more years of related professional experience, including at least one year in a sales or client‑facing role.

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required; graduate degree preferred.

Progress toward professional designations such as MBA, CFA, or CIM preferred.

This role does not require regulatory licensing or registration.
