Job DescriptionThis individual will drive prioritized business results by engaging and inspiring others to increase adoption of new strategic practice models enabling branch teams to deliver comprehensive advice and planning. Senior External Wholesalers spend a high percentage of their time traveling (60-70%) to engage with branch and regional teams face to face, leveraging exceptional presentation skills with a high degree of IQ and EQ to accelerate learning and increase adoption of firm prioritized topics and messages (i.e., Teaming, Multi-Financial Advisor Practices, strategic additions to registered and un-registered practice support functions -- tying practice structure to providing Financial Planning and usage of Banking, MoneyGuide, Investment Advisory, Signature Experience). Wholesales engage through large group presentations and personalized 1:1 Coaching/Consultation. These associates are expected to be able to learn topics quickly and help branch teams make connections across all of our various practice management priorities.

- Financial Planning knowledge (pursuit of CFP or min of 15 years of financial services experience required at minimum for role)
- Knowledge of practice model structures and teaming within the Financial Services Industry
- Bachelor's Degree
- 10 to 15 years experience as a wholesaler in the Financial Services Industry
- Candidates must hold at least one of the following professional designations: CFP, ChFC, or CFA
Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week effective June 1, 2026. Before June 1, 2026, candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.Salary InformationEdward Jones' compensation and benefits package includes medical and prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage. Short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage are provided at no cost to associates. Edward Jones offers a 401k retirement plan, and tax-advantaged accounts: health savings account, and flexible spending account. Edward Jones observes ten paid holidays and provides 15 days of vacation for new associates beginning on January 1 of each year, as well as sick time, personal days, and a paid day for volunteerism. Associates may be eligible for bonuses and profit sharing. All associates are eligible for the firm's Employee Assistance Program.
