About this Role:

The Agency Wholesaler is responsible for driving agent engagement and sales with our Agency partnerships.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop successful agency partnerships including managing technical integrations, agent training, compensation plans, and underwriting analysis
  • Some overnight travel to engage and support agency partners throughout Virginia.
  • Monitor agent engagement and sales by agency; create and execute plans to increase quote volume and sales.
  • Collect and share individual agent feedback on Elephant’s competitiveness, compensation plans, business practices, and tools.
  • Understand specific agency and agent sales processes and find opportunities to improve Elephant metrics.
  • Work closely with underwriting to understand the quality of business by agency and agent.
  • Collaborate with marketing on marketing and training material to be used in agent road shows and training events.
  • Be an Elephant brand ambassador!

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Property & Casualty insurance experience in a role that is carrier or agency-facing
  • Deep understanding of auto insurance products, underwriting, and business processes. 
  • College degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving capability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including phone conversation, and email communication, confident and poised speaking in front of groups.
  • Solid process orientation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, yet actively and appropriately to engage services provided by other team members.
  • Solid working knowledge of computer software packages including MS Word and MS Excel
  • Must successfully maintain required licensing by completing various Continuing Education activities as needed.
  • Must be able to show valid confirmation of the status of P&C Producers License

To ensure productivity in a home environment, applicants must meet the space and technology requirements outlined below. 

  • A dedicated workspace free from background noise and distractions of any kind during business hours.
  • A reliable high-speed broadband Internet service provider with a connection speed of at least 5 megabytes. A speed test will be required.
  • Ability for Ethernet cable to be physically connected to the carrier by the router or modem.
